Step-1

Begin by rolling out a 1 kilogram block of air dry clay to a thickness of about 1 centimetre. Using a ruler, cut a slab measuring 8 centimetres by 18 centimetres, and another measuring 3 centimetres by 18 centimetres. Roll the remaining clay to a thickness of about 4 centimetres and cut another slab measuring to 3 centimetres by 15 centimetres. Leave to dry- it will take 2 to 3 days.

Step-2

Once dry, paint green. Glue the two thinner slabs of clay onto the card with a 3 centimetre gap between them. Glue the thicker slab along the edge of the wider piece, as shown in the photograph below. Once dry, cut away the excess card and paint the visible card to match the clay.

Step-3

To make the label, roll a piece of Fimo to 5 millimetre thickness onto a piece of cling film. Using a ruler as a gauge, stamp your message onto the Fimo, press down firmly to get a good imprint. Once you are happy with your message, cut neat edges around the text with a knife. Bake according the the instructions, around 30 minutes at a low heat.

Step-4

Glue the label on the front of the stand and cover the whole thing in a double coat of mod podge.
