How to Make a Spring Foliage Garland

How to make

You Will Need

* 110cm Floral garland x2

* Daisy floral pick x2

* Floral pick x2

* Parsley fern pick x2

* Asparagus bush pick

* Floristry wire

* Wire cutters

* Hot glue gun

Step 1

Bend the end of the garlands together to create a right angle (this will form the corner of the display). Attach the pieces with floristry wire.

Tip: for larger pieces use half a piece of floristry wire and for attaching smaller picks, cut the wire piece into 3 smaller sections.

Step 2

At a halfway point, gather the 3 strands of the garland and secure with floristry wire.

Repeat on the other side.

Step 3

Cut your foliage picks into separate pieces as pictured.

Step 4

Add ferns throughout, making sure to weave them above and underneath the flowers in the garland. You can attach the ferns as single pieces or put into pairs (with a hot glue gun) for more coverage.

Step 5

Towards the end of the garlands, taper out the foliage and add ferns to stop at different points for a natural look.

Step 6

For the corner piece, use a hot glue gun to secure 2 floral picks into a V shape.

Step 7

Add this on top of the right angle you created at the start. You can use wire or hot glue for this step.

Step 8

Group together three fern pieces to go underneath the flower picks pointing towards where the middle of your door would be. Add ferns behind the top part of the floral picks too.

Step 9

Add in the remaining foliage from the daisy pick and the asparagus bush.

Step 10

Finally, add in the daisy pieces.

Step 11

Hang your beautiful garland around your door using command hooks or nails.

Tip: Gently move the floral picks around until you're happy with the shape.

Complete the look with a bright spring wreath to hang on your door!
