These colourful patterned baubles are so easy, you can knock up a tree full in no time! Whether you prefer ceramic spheres or flat ceramic circles, this technique and design works for all shapes and can be applied to any ceramic decoration you like!

3D Baubles Step-1

Place strips of masking tape around the curved edge of the bauble making sure to keep the tape straight as best you can to create a triangular shape.

Step-2

Leave until completely dry before starting work on the other sections of your design. For our baubles, we mixed blocks of colour with sporadic pattern, use a fine paintbrush to add dashes as we have or why not create your own stencil from acetate?

Step-3

Once the decorations are dry, thread the twine through the hole on the decoration and hang in pride of place.

2D Baubles Step-1

Place strips of masking tape across the front face of the decoration to create stripes. Take your choice of colour and apply two coats of paint. Leave the first layer to dry before applying the next, carefully removing the craft tape while the paint is still wet.
