How to Make Countdown Activity Bags
Prepare for New Year's Eve with sweet party bags that feature a countdown clock and a sparkly star! You can even get the kids to cross off the numbers for every hour in the build-up, or they can draw on the time that they're allowed to stay up until.
Fill your countdown bags with anything you choose – but we're adding gold chocolate coins and some old school games to ours! Ideas like dominoes and tiddly winks work great and the kids can play them throughout the evening.
These party bags will make a lovely gift for friends and family you may not get to see until next year!

How to make
Using the duck tape stick a long strip along the left hand side of the bag and trim off the excess.
Using the circle punch, slide in the card and cut some circles for the clock faces. If you don't have a circle punch use something round to draw around and then cut out.
Write the numbers on the circles to make a clock face and then stick onto the gold stars with a glue stick. Use a single hole punch to cut a hole into one of the points of the star - if you don't have a single hole punch cut a little slit.
Thread one of the pipe cleaners though the hole on the top of the star and then bending it in half twisting it around one of the bag handles. Take a pen and then twist the pipe cleaner around it to create curls, slide out the pen and repeat with the other end of the pipe cleaner.
