Christmas Bookmark

Download and print the Christmas design template. Trace the design onto the water-soluble fabric stabiliser. Place on top of a rose felt sheet, and then place a 6" embroidery hoop around it.

Take your first thread colour and split according to the design template. Follow the stitches as instructed on the design template, splitting the thread as appropriate. Once you have completed the stitches, use warm water to wash away the water-soluble fabric stabiliser and then leave it to dry fully.

When the designs are fully dry, cut out the bookmark shape template and then draw around the square part onto a blank piece of felt. Draw around the triangle part of the bookmark so that your embroidered design is centred in the triangle, using the image as a guide.

Cut out the felt shapes. Place the triangle on top of the square so that they are lined up correctly, using the image as a guide. Blanket stitch around the top-right corner to join the two pieces of felt together.

Once completed, press well.
