How to make

Blue Bauble Step 1

Remove the twine from the top of the baubles and paint them in your favorite colours or leave them white. I used old egg holders to hold the baubles.

Take one string and make a circle shape

Take a new string and tie a lark’s head knot over the two ends folding.

Tie the other 12 string on the circle using the lark’s head knot.

Place it over the bauble’s top and pull the ends until the strings sit around the top.

Take string #4 from the lark’s head knot over the two ends, one of the ends and the two strings on the right of it.

Use these 4 strings to make 5 consecutive square knots.

Continue until you have used all the strings.

Use these 4 strings to make 15-20 consecutive Square Knots.

The number will vary dispensing on the tension of your knots.

Repeat with all the strings.

Gather all the strings at the bottom of the bauble, cut 1 x 40cm of string, and tie a gathering knot.

Slide the gathering knot up to the bottom of the bauble.

You can pull each string down to neaten. Cut the tassel at the desired length.

Repeat Step 1-5 from ‘Blue Bauble’.

Place it over the bauble’s top and pull the ends until the strings sit around the top.

Take string #4 from the lark’s head knot over the two ends, one of the ends and the two strings on the right of it.

Use these 4 strings to make 3 consecutive square knots.

Repeat with all the strings.

Gather all the strings at the bottom of the bauble, cut 1 x 40cm of string, and tie a gathering knot.#
