How to Make Novelty Car Gift Wrap

Start by choosing which car you would like to draw onto your gift wrap! If you are confident at creating line-art drawings, you could draw or trace your recipient's car onto the wrapping paper, or print one of our templates to copy or trace. You can transfer an ink-jet printed image onto the wrapping paper by placing your design face down and applying pressure with a scoring tool. The design will be faint, so you will need to go over it with a thick, black pen.

Once you have finished outlining your car design, you can choose to add extra details, colour or decoration.

Optional:

Adding small dots of white paint from a Posca pen makes a lovely, striking snow effect. Draw dots in the sky to look like falling snow and a few patches here and there to look like snow that has settled on the car.

Once you are happy with your design, simply tie your brush tree to the top of the gift using twine. Tie to secure your twine, or stick down to the paper on the back of the gift if it's easier.
