Step 1

Take half a pack of one of the colours of polymer clay and knead it in your hands until it becomes soft and easy to shape, then roll it into a long sausage shape.

Do the same with the other two colours.

Step 2
Lie the three long pieces of clay next to each other and twist them together, making sure they stick together.

Step 3

Roll the length of twisted clays into a coil, like a snail shell.

Then, shape it into a ball in your hands and roll it out flat.

Step 4

Roll the flat clay up, shape it into a sausage shape and roll it into a coil again.

Shape it into a ball and place it on your mat.

Step 5
Roll the clay out to about 5mm in thickness and use the smallest circle cookie cutter to cut circles from the clay.
Step 6

Stamp the names or messages into the tags and make a hole in the top with a straw.

Top Tip: Start with the middle letter/s of the name or word in the middle of the tag and work outwards, it makes it easier to keep it central.

Step 7

Pre-heat your oven to 130°C, place your tags on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

Once your tags have cooled down, add the twine and use them as gift tags or place settings.
