Step 1

Cut a rectangle for the table runner measuring 200 x 35cm. Repeat with your second fabric.

Top Tip: If your table is longer, you may need to cut two strips and sew them together.

Step 2

To create the napkins, cut squares measuring 45 x 45cm with the remaining fabric.

You will need two different fabric squares per napkin.

Step 3

Press all the pieces flat, then place two bits of fabric right sides together and pin.

Leave a 10cm gap on one side, you may want to use pins to mark this gap.

Step 4

Sew all four sides on your machine, making sure to leave the marked gap.

Step 5

Trim all four corners off.

Step 6

Turn each item the right way around through the gap. You may want to use a knitting needle to poke out the corner.

Press each item flat.

Step 7

Topstitch all sides, sewing the gap shut as you sew. 6mm from the edge will be a good measure, we used a 1/4” quilting foot to help with this.

Press the completed table runner and napkins to finish.

The table runner and napkins are then ready to be used!
