Lexi Parkin - Artisan

I’m Lexi and I’m an Artisan at the Poole store. I’m a self-taught silversmith and jewellery maker and love all things creative. I sell my handmade jewellery online and at local fairs in Dorset and Hampshire. My jewellery making mainly consists of sea glass that I collect myself from beaches across the UK, but I also love experimenting with beads and other mediums. Sea glass is shards of glass that, over the years, has been worn away in the sea from the waves and the salt, to create smooth and frosted pieces that get washed up on the shore. I love looking for sea glass, and frequently visit a local beach in Dorset, however have taken trips up to Seaham which is well known for its sea glass abundance. When I’m not making jewellery, I enjoy dabbling in many other creative outlets, such as pyrography, drawing, and watercolour painting.”
