Sophie Cartmell - Artisan

My mother introduced me to all things crafty from a very young age and I have continued to try pretty much every craft throughout my life. My main focuses are drawing, painting, crochet and sewing.

My biggest love is sewing which I have done for as long as I can remember. I specialised in Footwear Design at university and had the amazing opportunity to work with Timberland on their design team for a year. I actually worked within the apparel side which greatly increased my textile knowledge. From this I got a job in a suit tailoring company where I worked closely with tailors trained up on Savile Row, they trained me up in all aspects of alterations and bespoke clothing.
