Great purchase
Brought this for my 10 year old son. He enjoyed putting it together with a little help, then spent a few days painting it. Model doesn’t come with paints so they need to be purchased separately. He now wants more models for Christmas so I class that as a hit.

Good kit
Good kit, not too many pieces. Excellent for beginners to have a bash at. Minimal cleaning up to do as advertised on the box with "new moulds". Comes with transfers for 2 british and 1 Czech squadron operating from Scottish air strips late ww2.

Very detailed and well made considering the price
This kit was just a test to play with a few techniques but turned out to be better than expected so took more care! Some parts a little small and delicate but overall well made and excellent decals.

Nice Kit
A very nice kit of a rare mark of Spitfire. The Mark 6 Spitfire was limited to 100 and was surperceded by the HF Mk7, 8 and 9 with extended wings and more powerful Merlin engine.

Flimsy and horrible
I bought this to have a HF Spitfire. Italeri do make some good models BUT not this one. This kit is among the worst I have ever tried to build. I have decades experience of make half decent model kits. The four fuselage pieces are thin, so thin it is a wonder how the there is room on the edge for the glue to hold it together. This is like trying to build a vacuum form kit. Equally there were gaps between the fuselage and the wings. As for the cockpit the detail is sparse to non-existent and what is there is crudely formed. Just putting the rough seat shapes together as they indicate makes it sit way too far forward. This whole kit is thin and crude in detail. A pain to put together and then it was an awful sight when it was put together. Life is too short for this. After a few hours it was binned and my attention turned to oh so much nicer and better detailed (and sturdier) Airfix and Revell versions. And before you say I threw it away too quickly, this was my 2nd go at this appalling kit. I thought I might have been too hasty the first time and so decided to give it another go. But NO, it is really as bad as I remember.

This kit looks pretty well detailed for the scale and at this price is a pretty much must have.
