Lovely soft wool
I used this wool to crochet my first ever jumper. It came up lovely and soft and was easy to crochet with. The only down side was one on the balls had a knot where the wool had been joined together and in another place the wool wasn’t joined at all. I purchased 6 balls but only had this problem with one, so maybe just unlucky.

Lovely variation of colours for a subdued effect, the yarn seems ever so slightly thinner than some of the other DKs around, great for socks, gloves etc which do not need to be bulky.

Gorgeous for blankets
Loved this wool, I used it to make a baby blanket for my friend when we didn't know if it was a boy or girl. Alternated with a cream DK yarn and ended up with a gorgeous variated blue/violet mix throughout the blanket. Very easy to crochet with and sturdy stable yarn. I blocked it using steam and it became really soft and flexible. Perfect for a blanket.

Not keen
Not happy with James C Brett patterns or wool. Have tried a couple of their patterns and their wool. Patterns are not good. Neither item came out as it should so gone back to Sirdar again. I would also like to say that I am a proficient knitter.

Snapped wool
This is an unfortunate rating as I love the colour and the first ball I used was completely fine. Unfortunately the second ball has been in broken bits the whole way through, to the point I had to stop using it. Very frustrating.

Beautiful yarn
The colours of this yarn caught my eye and I’ve started crocheting with it and it looks even better. Great quality and the yarn doesn’t snag or catch and feels soft. I will buy this yarn again as it’s lovely.
