However, very easy to follow and quick to complete pattern. It would have been useful to know exactly how much yarn was actually required, as I purchased the 100g balls specified and now have LOADS left over. I can probably make another 4......

My tentacles wouldn't curl up enough. I followed instructions but curls were far looser than pictured. Any tips?

I had the same problem initially but after scratching my head a little I realised I had mis- read the pattern - you need to ensure that you work (a minimum of) three half trebles into each and every chain stitch - hope this solves the issue for you.
