Much to like, but improvement needed
I really want to love this yarn and it has a few great qualities. It feels lovely to crochet with (very pleasing on the hook and hands) and the colours are lovely (I worked with Rainbow). But with all 4 balls I bought, there were continuity issues. Non-continuous and short sections. Which with another yarn might be fine and I can live with. But the nature of this yarn means that once the strand is broken, the fibres continuously flake off the end. So weaving in ends and joining new balls once one ends is messy and challenging. It really put a dampener on the product for me as even when I hit a groove, I was anticipating the next frustrating break in the yarn that I was sure was hiding in the ball.
So in summary - much promise but work needed on the quality.

Chunky scarves for charity.
I’ve been knitting scarves for some years. I started making them to combat a touch of arthritis in my hands and chose chunky wool as it meant the scarves grew quickly! The first batch I made were for family members then, a friend, who collects toiletries and sanitary products for a women’s support charity, asked if I could make some for a Christmas project. The pattern is easy - based on a knit one, knit two together format and the scarves grow quickly. I can knit while watching television and I also join a group of ladies who “Knit and Natter” at a local community facility once a week.
I’ve been buying my wool at Hobbycraft since I started this as they always have a good selection of colours.

Snuggly and soft
Bought this today, it is a nice thick yarn with a great rainbow color, weighty and soft and very easy to crotchet with. It calls for a 8mm hook, however I think a 9 or 10mm hook is preferrable due to its thickness. Making a baby blanket and so far so good!
