Superior quality!
Best varnish I've ever used to weatherproof acrylics on slate.
Easy to apply, fast drying time and very long lasting protection.
Matt finish means no glare when the sun's out!
2 thin coats are ample and a little goes a long way.

Liquitex Matte Varnish - Great Product
This is a great product. Easy to use (although as a first time acrylic painter, I had to research the best way to use it). Just wish it wasn’t so pricy, hence 4 stars).

Excellent stuff, no residue and no smearing.
Excellent for plaster of paris painted with acrylic paint. No smearing and only need a little bit as goes a long way. Doesn't leave a white residue like some of the spray varnishes. Excellent product

Perfect matte finish for varnishing slates.
This is a really good product. I use it for varnishing painted slates and, while it goes on shiny, it dries a lovely matte finish, even after a couple of thin coats.

Gloss varnishes have tended to generate unwanted reflections and limited where a picture can be hung / hanged / stuck up. Not with this stuff. I'm a convert.
