Calligraphers - Heads UP!!
I've been experimenting with dip pen nibs for around 6 months, looking for that perfect blend of flexibility for an easy broad downstroke, and rigidity for a wobble-free upstroke and resistance to a heavy hand. This mix of Leonardt nibs is ideal - especially the #33. Now I write like a professional!
If you find a Brause nib too soft, or a Nikko G too rigid, try this set of nibs. The tiny mapping/lining nib has a dedicated pen (cute AND functional for tiny writing), and there's a good quality pen with a universal insert for the other nibs.
The list price is very good (individual nibs cost at least 70p, and a good universal pen is around £3.50 and upwards - then add P&P on top of that).
If you're not into modern calligraphy, try these nibs for artwork - lining and cross-hatching, zentangle or little doodle drawings. You don't have to use black ink - the nibs can be loaded with thin watercolour (from a brush) - or from a selection of coloured inks carried by Hobbycraft.
PS - don't think being left-handed is a disadvantage for modern calligraphy - in some cases, it's a bonus!

Excellent dip pens for drawing with ink
This is a great set. Good value for money as you get lots of nibs, a handy box to keep all the nibs safe. I use this dip pen with winsor and newton black Indian ink for drawing and the products work well together. An enjoyable drawing experience. Nice to have 2 dip pens and multiple nibs included. 1 minor problem I find it hard to open the nib box as it has no grips on it.

Easy to use, produces stylish linework
Used this pen with some acrylic ink for adding line to watercolour. Produces interesting and organic looking lines. Great if you are fed up with fineliners.

Good selection
There is a good variety of nibs in this set but the packaging omits to say what each nib is used for. More information on the function of each nib would have been helpful.

Awesome nib set!
I recently purchased this set in store as I've been looking for a decent dip pen and nib set for a smoother and more fluent way of inking my art. The holders are sturdy and the nibs hold the ink well, so I can work for longer without having to constantly reapply ink. They're great for what I needed and inexpensive too!

I purchased several things but the main one was calligraphy pens for parchment craft work as the ones I had were not working properly. The new pens I have tried were really good and I am well pleased. I thought two nib holders and 5 nibs for, with a tin to keep the nibs in was good value. Cards and cake liners, are just what they say they are, and the Stamens were also good value, which I bought as they were not in stock the last time I wanted them.

Quality product for a variety of drawing
I love drawing with dip pens, they're more fluid and expressive than cartridge or fibre pens.This set is perfect, there's a good variety of size and style of nibs, a cute tin to keep them in and two holders. Great value too.
