Do not buy this for miniature painting!
I brought this with plans to create a cracked Earth effect on my Warhammer bases. It is a good sized tube and the instructions were simple, however it did not quite work as well as I hoped it would. The paste was very, very thick and extremely difficult to squeeze out of the tube, I had to use a LOT of force to get it out and it was difficult to spread even with a palette knife. I left my miniature bases to dry overnight and was very disappointed to see it had minimal cracks around the edge in the morning. It might be better suited to large canvases where it has the space to spread, but as far as miniature painting goes, I would stick to GW technical paints. I have plans to try the undercoat with a thinner modelling paste to see if it gives a better effect.

I was told in store that this product would dry clear over my painting, this was not the case, it dries white and ruined my work.

Awesome Effects!!!
When i saw this for the first time it gave me so many ideas. I didn't know what to expect when i tried it at first but the end results were amazing. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to add a crackle effect to their artwork.

Amazing effects
Bought this even though I have a few different crackle brands but this is by far the best I’ve used. The tube is huge and the process is easy to follow.

This product gives a beautiful finish.
The crackle sizes vary depending on how thickly you apply the second layer. I used acrylic paint over top to add depth. I used the paste on a primed board for the best effect.
I found it quite easy to use and it worked first time. It covers quite a large area, at least three paintings 30cm x 30cm, depending on thickness. Will definitely buy again.

First time used
Seems easy to use. The crackles appeared fairly quickly and are pretty much as I expected. I haven’t finished the painting of the project yet.

Two steps products effect
Easy to use. Don't forget to apply generously the second coat to achieve a decent amount of cracking texture.
