Cotton banners
I bought several of these banners and found that, although they are well made, some arrived very creased and some grubby. Steam pressing got some creases out and dab cleaning helped. I didn’t want to return them as I was keen to get my banners embroidered for a special event.

Can you paint on this with acrylic paint and do you have to prime it first?
Priming will stiffen it up and make it easier to get a sharp finish. If you don't want to prime it, then you just need to be aware that the paint can crack, so you want to keep it as flat as possible, and also make sure the paint is stiff enough that it doesn't absorb and spread in the fabric too much.
