The Nunatak Board Game transports you to the desolate, windswept snowscapes of Antarctica, where you’ll find peaks called nunataks jutting out from the icy surface. These nunataks are actually the remains of giant ice temples built by a long-forgotten civilization.
Designed by Kane Klenko, this game can be enjoyed solo or in groups of up to four players, ages 10 and up. Players create sections of the temple with ice blocks, which earn them points throughout the game. In the final tally, more points will also be added through the cards collected during the game. The winner is the player with the most points.
Each turn, players draw a building card, which tells them where on the board they must place an ice block from their chosen temple. As the blocks are placed, the temple takes shape until it becomes a spectacular pyramid. When 2x2 cube sections are completed, players score points based on who has the most cubes in the section. Once the entire pyramid is built, the final scoring is done.
