The OcCre HMS Endurance Wooden Ship Model Kit will bring an exciting challenge to your model collection. Captured with a high level of detail, this wooden model is a medium-level build that creates a striking piece.
The Endurance was launched on December 17th, 1912 under the name "Polaris". Originally rigged as a frigate, she was converted into a three-masted brigantine and in 1914 took part in the famous "Imperial Transantarctic Expedition" to cross the Antarctic under the command of Sir Ernest Shackleton.
After the shipwreck of August 19th, 1915, they were trapped in the ice of the Weddell Sea. Shackleton, together with a few men aboard the boat "James Caird", made one of the most memorable and heroic voyages in the history of navigation. The expedition is remembered as an epic story of overcoming, heroism and survival.
This model boat includes a personalised wooden nameplate, as well as sails.
