Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for the craft box I purchased this after seeing it demonstrated on Hochanda and whilst I do use watered down PVA tis is a ready to go product, so there is no mess and the right consistency is maintained. This product is a brilliant all rounder, it can be used to make water colour more viscous and as a base for powdered colour, ink, pastel, micas and glitter it means that you can apply them just in the same way as paint. It is a little gem that can really extend the scope of your art mediums.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value acrylic binder I bought this acrylic binder to use with a particular technique on my gelli plate, having seen it used on Youtube. It works really well and will allow me to create lots of great prints for cardmaking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it says! Worked well on crafting foam as a base for acrylic colours. A little runny so squeeze out with care

Does this work as a primer before painting regular acrylic paint onto glass?

Asked by: Fiz452
No, because glass is a non-porous surface and Bindex might only work to some extent on a twxtured durface, such as canvas. You could try Pentart priming paste but to be on the safe side I would use a primer designed for use on glass. Hope that helps.

Can this be used as a 'glass medium' which you mix with any paint so can paint on glass?

Asked by: Elssir
It isn't necessary for painting on glass, it is more like a layer you would use on paper to stop the paint sinking in so it says brighter. You can paint acrylic onto glass, although this is not hard wearing, or in the Pebeo range there are specific glass paints.

Can this be used before painting pebbles

Asked by: Dinky04
Yes, if you're looking to do light, translucent applications of paint. If you're looking for bright opaque colours, you would need to use a primer.
