Good for canning
I have lots of Ball canning jars, but needed more. I am using these for pressure canning and water bath canning. They have held up very well, and are exactly like Ball. The lids I'm discarding, and using the 2 part 'forjars' or 'ball' ring-bands, and lid inserts. But you probably could get use out of the lids, only I'm not used to them, and I save them for using on my storage jars instead.

These jars are brilliant for doing over night oats in, can't believe they are only £5 for 6 really good quality, very happy with them worth every penny.

No good
Wanted these to pickle cucumbers. They leaked. Luckily they were for home, not gifts, really wont bother again.

Really Good Jar
Really good size and ideal for family jam making sessions. The jars themselves are well made and the glass feels weighty and thick so hopefully they will last a number of years of jam making. Was on an offer at the time which made them an even better fit for our needs

Good price. Sizing slightly off?
Good price on sale at £5! I bought to put my homemade tallow in.
It says 490ml but the jar shows 12oz. That’s the only thing as 12oz works out to be less than 490ml

Jars ideal for crafting
I used these jars for crafting with my granddaughters for Halloween. Ideal for painting or decoupage. We attached clay cutouts to these jars not painted them yet.

Preserving jars
Very good value. I have plenty of two part lids and rings so use those but the lids that come with these are useful for storing open jars

The information on the box says 'Suitable for temperatures up to 100⁰c'. I suspect this means that I can't sterilise them in the oven in that case. How would you suggest these jars are sterilised to be used for chutney?
I noticed this too, but went ahead anyway, using them for marmalade and jam and cucumber pickle, sterilising them in the oven at 150 degrees. No problems at all so far.
