Good, could be great
Good sized lens and versatile positioning angles. The clamp is of good quality and works well. The light is very bright and you can work in a dark room easily. The light is a little too bright for me and it tends to glare, it could definitely be enhance by brightness options. The magnifyer is acceptable but needs a section of much higher magnification to benefit those with diminished sight. Overall it’s a great item but won’t help much if your sight is poor.

Good hobby light.
Don't forget this is dependent on G type clamp which restricts where it can be positioned - I had four attempts to find a suitable location, and bear in mind the clamp has be tightened enough for it to be secure and could damage any wood surfaces. I therefore attached the light to a shelf where this didn't matter, and also had the advantage this gave me more flexibility to adjust the Anglepoise features.
The light is very bright and the magnification adequate.

Great lamp
I bought this for lighting my drawing board (I design gardens); it is very bright and gives a good light. I haven't used the magnifier yet but it seems fine. The only crticism I have is that the bottom of the light stem rotates freely in the clamp (no screw to hold it in position), so unless it is clamped to a horizontal surface it swings round with gravity. I got round this by attaching it to an adjacent bookcase rather than the drawing board itself.

Ok, but disposable.
Parts not available for this, so if the lamp goes, it all goes in the bin. So much for saving the planet using LEDs.

Good, but...
I bought this after trying other "clamp-on" desk lamps and wish I had bought it earlier. The construction is sturdy (and heavy) and the light is a bright white. The arm is adjustable, and there are screws to lock the arm in place. The clamp to hold it on to the table is also of solid construction, but getting the arm into the base can be quite tricky. I use this with a laptop so I do not need to switch the main lighting on. My main complaint is that there is no screw to lock the arm to the base so that it does not swivel. I suppose it is possible to drill a hole and fit my own screw. Other improvements would be a separate switch to dim the light, and a half-height (and lighter) version as the arms are quite long. I have not used the magnifying glass so cannot comment on that.

Just what I needed
I had begun to struggle to see my cross stitch properly, but buying this magnifying lamp has made such a huge difference. It clamped easily on to a side table and the lens is easily positioned for maximum effect. Would recommend without hesitation.

Magnifying light
I am delighted with my magnifying light which gives me the freedom to use it as just a brighter light or to use the light in conjunction with the magnifier which is great when doing my embroidery especially some of the smaller stitches .

Brilliant
This lamp is great for my card making. Bright, day light. Clamps onto a relatively narrow table ledge. Durable, as I didn't clamp it correctly the 1st time and the lamp survived it's downfall.
