Very good illumination, base is a bit light.
I really like this lamp, the four brightness levels are great and the area illuminated is just right for me. The bendy neck also allows me to target a particular part of the table without blinding myself or shading my work. There are two things that let the lamp down a little. One, the base is very light and is easily dislodged and, secondly, to turn the light off you have to cycle up to the brightest level.

Excellent buy
After reading reviews I decided to purchase this light to help when doing illustrations. Very pleased that I did because this is so handy particularly when the light is poor at this time of year.
There are 4 settings so I can have it as bright as I want and the light itself is very natural. Also being flexible is very handy and the light itself can be twisted around.
I would recommend this light.

Shed some light on your tasks
This was not my first Purelite lamp as I already have two floor versions for reading. This was just
what I needed for my papercrafting and I bought a second one for the guest room which has
resulted in positive responses.
This design is even better and the 3 options for light levels are very easy to control. Lightweight but
sturdy and sensible length of cable.

Great model making lamp
Nice sized and stylish lamp - first time I turned it on I thought “Oh, that’s not very bright…” but then I realised there were 4 settings and I was on the lowest! Highest setting is very bright and ideal for close work and the ‘strip style’ light doesn’t interfere when close working. The power lead could have been a bit longer but that’s nitpicking, especially as I bought the lamp for £20 not the usual £30. Good purchase.

Happy with purchase & would definitely recommend.
Purchased to use during the dull dark winter afternoons to use when puzzling. Wow it’s been a game changer and definitely worth buying. Really happy with purchase and definitely recommend I have no regrets. I wish I had purchased before now. The light is brilliant. Four levels of various lighting levels. Good price as it was on the Black Friday offer. It’s stylish and very neat. It has a bendy neck to adjust exactly where you want to work. Doesn’t take up much room.

Bright and flexible lamp
Four levels of brightness and a flexible arm make this an excellent hobby or reading lamp. Clean lines and easy to use with fingertip touch switch gives a good range of illumination… the brightest is certainly bright enough for close or intricate hobby activities. Very pleased.

How tall is the arm ?
39cm max, this allows the florescent light to horizontal. Also I have not removed the plastic packing cover to protect the light from paint splashes
