Great colour
Had read that gel food colouring gives a stronger colour in buttercream and this one did the trick! Perfect for the dinosaur birthday cake I was making and very easy to use and get good results (I am a complete baking novice!)

You won’t be disappointed
I was given the task to create a green & purple cake to look like the Yoyle cake from the BFDI cartoon. When my son told me the inside of the cake also needed to be coloured I wasn’t very hopeful that the green would be very vibrant as in the past colouring I’ve used has come out muted. I decided to try this brand and was hesitant because of the price, but decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did as both the green and the purple worked amazingly. Not just on the baked cake but on the icing as well. So from now on when I’m asked for a coloured cake I will be buying these colours as, I know I won’t be disappointed with the out come. I also liked the fact it doesn’t affect the flavour of the icing or the cake. I’ve used black food colouring in the past(different brand from the supermarket) and it tastes awful.

A little goes a long way!
I love these.I use them in my buttercream. You only need a small amount and I tend to put a tiny blob onto a cocktail stick and dip into the buttercream. Once mixed, if it still requires more colour, I repeat this step again until I’m happy with the shade I want.
