Lightweight and sturdy.
After moving house, I needed to organise. I was fed-up of not being able to find stuff. I bought this box to store all of our cat’s non-food items, ie. litter tray bags, flea treatments, litter freshener etc.
Ok, so not very glamorous, but very practical. Easy to store away
‘Really Useful’ boxes feel sturdier than their counterparts, although they are just as lightweight. The secure but easy closing mechanism ensures the lid cannot just fall off, and it would be difficult for a toddler/ young child to open unaided. I don’t worry about my 2 yr old grandchild getting at the cat’s stuff!.
Also, the staff at this store are always welcoming and helpful.

Strong, secure and really useful
We use these boxes on our emergency response canteen, so they get a lot of abuse when we are called out to support the emergency services.
They keep our stocks dry and secure when the vehicle is not in use, and easily stack in the cupboards when in transit.
When in use, they are easily stacked with or without lids, and easily cleaned, which is essential in a food based environment.
The range of sizes also suits our needs, with various sizes are matched to maintain the ability to still stack them despite the size difference.

For the car.
Bought to store all the small stuff (tyre inflater, de-icer, fuses, ice-mit etc) that you can’t or don't want to store in the glove compartment/ door pockets.
The Mini Cooper has an extra ‘hidden’ compartment under the boot floor, so it fits in there nicely, completely unseen, and not taking up any boot space.
I actually went back and bought a slightly broader and flatter box to do this, as the original box I bought was just a few centimetres too deep for the lid of the ‘secret compartment’ to close completely So if you’re planning on buying one to do the same for your Mini, you’ll need to consider this also.

Perfect for Lego!
I've purchased transparent smoke boxes in various sizes for my son's Lego. I've got the 9L, 4L, 0.3L and 0.14L variants. The 9L and 4L stack together perfectly. They're the perfect size for storing all sorts of Lego while still allowing easy rummaging to find that elusive brick or tile. The smaller ones are great for lights and small tiles. All boxes lock securely with the handles. I'd recommend these for all sorts of storage options.

Good value storage box.
Providing you've done your homework and the dimensions suit your needs (ie. you know how to use a tape measure) this will provide you with a reasonably sturdy box for the price.
Easy to handle due to the design of the side fastenings and is compatible with others in the range of the same width / length dimensions for stacking.
It gets 5 stars as it suits my needs perfectly but some customers shouldn't expect it to take the weight of their gold bars whilst they're being transported to their offshore Panama account.

Not cheap... but worth it.
I use these boxes extensively. By this I mean I have about 100 or so, mostly large sizes (the 64 litre end) and they are robust, they stack securely, and you can see at a glance what's inside (until they get really old, and you've been keeping metal components inside rattling about, so not really the box's fault, but I digress).
I have used cheaper boxes but they tend to fold, split or simply aren't made any more. REALLY USEFUL have been around a while now and don't seem to be going anywhere, so if you need a few more compatible boxes to stack, this is the system to go for. I've had one I discovered to be damaged after getting it home and it was exchanged by HC without fuss.
Not that it's recommended, but I routinely stack the big boxes up to 6' without problems. Would definitely buy this brand again.

Perfect Boxes for Tabletop Gamers
The 5litre box is a perfect size for Warhammer. This one is better for Star Wars Legions,and the larger Warhammer figures. Well made, solid lids, safe catches that won't give way on you when you are carrying them. Being clear makes it easy to see what is inside. If you put a layer of magnetic sheet inside the bottom, small magnets on the bottom of the figures (both available from Hobbycraft also). These will hold your figures tight when transporting them to game with others. At home, storage, plus the lid makes a solid base for painting on, which you can then easily clean down afterwards

Great for when a clear box is not suitable
Bought this to put under the wall-mounted TV equipment rack to keep game controllers etc in.
As the equipment and controllers are black, I wanted something that would neatly contain, but slightly obscure them to keep the neat appearance of that area.
This box does the job. You can still see the items inside, but not as clearly as with the standard clear boxes. It blends in well with the rack and fits neatly underneath.
Very sturdy box, good price and great service from Hobbycraft, so a happy customer all round.
