Lilac NOT navy blue
Purchased 10 packets of this for a 12" navy blue football shirt, and what a massive disappointment it turned out to be.
The colour was more lilac than navy blue. Fortunately I had navy blue gel colour at home to darken it with, and eventually got the shade that I needed by using a quarter of a tub.
Whist the quality of the paste was good, and didn't tear or wrinkle like some supermarket brands, I won't ever purchase any more dark colours in this range again.
I will colour my own paste, and leave it to darken overnight. Had I done this in the first place, I could have saved myself 50% of the price I paid, and a lot of anxiety.

Great in small quantities
Lovely navy blue colour and great taste as always. My only gripe is the size of packets available, 250g does not go very far and I had to purchase quite a few packs to cover a cake and board. I ended up with a small but noticable difference in colour between the different packs.
Perhaps Hobbycraft could offer an online only selection of larger packs - I can't be the only person who's had this problem?

Good product
Good colour. Does what it says on the tin pretty much.
It was quite sticky so make sure you lay down enough icing sugar on the surface you use to roll the icing out.

Good quality and easy to use product
This icing was easy to roll and mold with a good consistency.
Unlike other brands I have used, it was not too sticky/moist, making it easy to use and not requiring too much cornflour to roll it out, therefore a good even colour maintained.
A shame it was only available in 250gr packs - 500gr would have been better.

Easy to use, perfect colour
I needed a blue for a late evening sky as the background to my Christmas cake, later to have white stars all over it. 1 1/2 packets covered my 20cm diameter circle, with ease. No holes, perfectly smooth, excellent contrast for the stars. Easy to use

Good quality, covers well
Pricey for fondant but there's no way I could get the depth of colour from colour paste or gels to get navy. Larger pack size than 250g would be good though please! I needed to cover a tall 8"tier so used 5 packs. Expensive!

Highly recommended
Even being a dark colour, this fondant comes out exactly the shade on the packet. This brand of fondant is a pleasure to work with and I recommend it to everyone.

Always use renshaw but found the navy blue hard to work with didnt keep its colour and very dry and cracked
