Take to the skies with the Revell P-47 M Thunderbolt Model Plane Kit!

Thunderbolts in service during WWII gained the nickname "Jugs" because of their close resemblance to period milk bottles. Fortunately for the Allies, the "Jugs" were no milksops. Their eight .50 calibre machine guns were adept at taking down the Luftwaffe's juggernauts and their heavy armour protection let them shatter ground targets with relative impunity. All 130 P-47M fighters were deployed with the 56th Fighter Group which had the second highest air-to-air kills of the war.

The 1:72 scale model kit includes 67 parts that have been crafted to replicate this unique aircraft. The kit features detailed surfaces, rockets and fuel tanks plus decals.

When it was finished it was awesome he was so happy with the end result. Not too expensive and not cheap quality worth it for a little summer holiday project to keep your young ones, and older, occupied

Rated 4 out of 5 by NRWarnis from Nice, if older kit It is a nice little kit, plenty of detail and an interesting paint scheme, be aware that it is an older tooling, so there is a certain amount of flash to be cleaned up, also the kit doesn't make the plane shown, instead of the belly tank and bombs in the picture, it has two wing mounted drop tanks and ten wing mounted rockets, but overall a fun build.

Great shape, fit of parts, simple construction and a great result. The only bit I didn't like is the open cooling gills. I enjoyed this one so much that I used both names, one on either side.

The cockpit as a nice amount of detail for a modeller, decals were easy to apply. The model finish is good, however the quality of the plastic could be better with the presence of flash.

Rated 3 out of 5 by David556 from Old kit showing its age This kit is starting to show its age. With lots of surplus flash to remove, and quite soft detailing on smaller parts, it goes together ‘ok’. The canopy fit, however, is dreadful and will need corrective surgery or a third party replacement.
