The Revell Tiger II Ausf. B Model Kit captures this historic vehicle in authentic detail.
The Tiger II, developed in 1943 and unofficially also referred to as the King Tiger, was mass-produced by Henschel from 1944 onwards. The King Tiger combined the demands for armour protection and firepower.
The frontal armour of up to 150mm thick could not be penetrated by any projectiles from the on-board cannons of enemy battle tanks. The hull sides were armoured up to 80mm thick. Despite several massive bombing raids by the Allies on the Henschel plant in Kassel, a total of 492 Tiger IIs were delivered to the troops.
