Read this before buying
2,5 star rating. Anyone thinking they are giving a child a fun thing to make and build, then think again! Unless they are a child prodigy, they will need a lot of adult supervision who has unlimited stores of patience, and an intuitive mind-set to interpret the way the model goes together. If the child does not have a parent or adult to help, don’t waste your money.
It tells you “Instructions on reverse of packaging “ but all you get are prints of the cutout boards with minuscule numbers. It is incredibly difficult to work out and too many items are one-way critical. ie, if you put a part the wrong way round it does not work. It only holds itself during the closing stages. Two initial elements are critical being fitted the right way round. One is only detectable by the way two pegs are very slightly angled. It is also frustrating that QC does not ensure that pegs fit holes properly and in the right place.
The final result is acceptable, but I would recommend judicious use of fast-acting glue like superglue to hold it together, but there is the jeopardy that you might have put it together wrongly.
If HobbyCraft bothers to read this review, get a few of your staff to try, but also seriously look at improving your instructions.
