Not a substitute for a canvas
I bought the Shore & Marsh acrylic painting pad because I'm still learning how to get the best from my acrylic paints and I didn't want to waste lots of money on expensive canvas's. I started painting about 2 years ago and used stretched canvas's from the off but I hadn't wanted to experiment with different painting techniques because of the cost of the canvas's. I've used the acrylic paper a couple of times and it performs well. It has a finely embossed woven effect surface but isn't absorbant l8ke a stretched canvas. I still prefer painting on a stretched canvas but I honestly would recommend this acrylic painting paper if this is your preference.

So far, so good.
I'm relatively new to painting with acrylics and I had not previously tried using this painting pad. So far I have found it to be really good, it copes very well with me doing lots of reworking of what I am painting, it doesn't breakdown or shed any bits, etc. I would buy this product again.

Shore and Marsh acrylic pad
This paper takes water very well. It has a canvas like texture on one side and is smooth on the other. I'm very pleased with this product.

A3 perfect for art work. Also for mounting in frames . I draw inside a set area of A4 on this per sheet this way I know my scaling is suitable for framing with selected mounts.

Avoid it lifted paint
So disappointed with this paper, wanted something weighty to take layers of acrylic, just lifted the surface of the paper. Sadly not fit for purpose but could use with pencils.

Good quality paper, use for acrylics
Good quality paper at a reasonable price. I use for acrylic painting and it works very well. This is the 2nd one I've bought.
