Went on great, as it's a nice consistency. Dried quickly. Looks very sparkly too!

I am using this on a thick wool coat and so I don't think ironing on the reverse is going to set it as the heat won't transfer through. Can I put a cloth on top of the dried paint and iron on top of the cloth on the front?
Yes but we'd suggest putting baking parchment over the design and making sure you allow extra time for this to be fully dry before you heat set this, as it can take longer to dry on a thick material.

Can anyone tell me how dark the silver paint is? I am hoping it is on the lighter side as I want to paint the hessian on a pair of sandals.Regards
It isn't very dark, but if you wanted a light metallic shimmer then the pearl colour may be better, the finish will depend somewhat on the colour of the base material.

Do you heat set this paint so that it doesn't wash out
Yes you iron on the reverse. Instructions for this will be on the back of the packaging.

Could this product be used on suede boots?
Yes, this paint can be used for suede, but due to the nature of suede it is important to use the correct technique and preparation to ensure longevity and good adherence.
First the suede will need to be clean, free of any dust or dirt. We recommend you apply in thin coats leaving each coat to dry fully until the desired result is achieved, gently brushing the suede between each layer to maintain the suede texture and prevent the fabric fibres from stiffening.
We’d recommend a patch test on an inconspicuous area before fully committing to the project so that you can see how the suede will act. Applying a primer first can also help create a good result, for example a white base coat can help the intended colour on top to appear brighter and more true to colour.
