Harry Potter scarf knots in in yarn .
Disappointed with this product yarn had been knotted whilst knitting had to sew the knot into scarf to disguise it . I purchased another one and during the knitting found x2 knots in the other scarf .for that reason I wont be buying any more of this product

Too many knots
Bought this yarn at the Cardiff store yesterday. Whilst winding the yarn into cakes today I have come across three knots in the first 61gms of the yarn. I understand that yarn has to be tied at times but this number of knots in such a short length of yarn isn't really acceptable.
I wonn't be winding any more and shall be emailing Sirdar to complain.

Lovely Wool To Knit With
Lovely wool to knit with, I’ve made a smaller scarf and it worked out well using less stitches, I’ve also made a beanie hat and now it’s either mittens or gloves..

No, using the Sirdar Harry Potter Gryffindor Self-Striping Scarf Yarn does not require you to both knit and crochet. The yarn can be worked using either knitting needles (recommended size: 6.0mm or 6.5mm) OR a crochet hook (recommended size: 6.5mm).
