Materials that can be cut are limited by the 45- and 60-degree blades that come as standard with the machine and that have a maximum clearance of 1mm. Certain materials may need to be cut with a high or low tack cutting mat using varying blade depths or with multiple passes.
The list of suitable materials include:
- All Siser heat transfer vinyl
- Stripflock, brick 600 and 1000*
- Other manufacturer’s heat transfer vinyl
- Pressure sensitive vinyl, sticky backed for decals and signs, etc.
- Cardstock
- Glitter cardstock
- Chipboard up to 0.8mm*
- Vellum
- Sticker paper
- Acetate sheets
- Mylar
- Shrink plastic*
- Craft foam*
- Magnetic sheet*
- Bonded fabric*
- Bonded felt*
- Stiff felt*
- Wood veneer up to 0.4mm*
- Leather up to 0.4mm*

Faulty Machine
Frustratingly the start and finish nodes of a shape are appalling.
Its a shame as the machine is fast, quiet and accurate.
This isn't a calibration issue as the cut is perfect but due to the start and finish joins not always joining it prevents a shape from cutting well. It will leave a small gap, create a overlapping cut or slice a few mm into the shape.
I spoke to Siser who confirmed they are aware of the issue but not any help sadly. I spoke to somebody in my local Hobby Craft store who were extremely helpful and said to return it for a replacement which I will be soon. I will return it soon but its very heavy so need some help.
For a £520 cutting machine I expected better. This review isn't a reflection of Hobby Craft but the cutting machine and lack of Siser help.

brilliant machine
brilliant machine, the cuts on vinyl are very precise and detailed, it takes a while to get used to doing test cuts and getting used to the software but it's amazing machine

Style AND Substance!
I got one of these over 3 months ago. I have used many cutters, the usual brands, pro cutters etc. This cutter is fast, accurate has a great print and cut allowing you to use much more of the page, it's quiet and it looks good. Be prepared to learn new software. Use WiFi to send your files, you can import images to trace, or SVGs.

Stunning product.
Stunning product. Really easy to use for a beginner. My only gripe is the software (Leonardo) keeps crashing. Hopefully this can be fixed with an update.
