Invisible Sherman
I tried to purchase this online at my local store in Droitwich, Worcestershire but the system advised it wasn't available there but it was at Selly Oak in Birmingham. This is more awkward to get to, is further and costs more but I thought I would go ahead anyway as I wanted the Sherman. However on arriving to pick up the model I was advised it was out of stock and instead refunded my money on a gift card. So the whole purchase and journey involved in getting it was pointless, what's more irritating is that the Sherman is still showing as in stock at Selly Oak so no doubt some other unsuspecting buyer is going to be caught out the same as I was. Not happy or impressed.

excellent build quality, with many extra features
Tamiya WW2 Sherman tank - after returning to model building in my retirement years, I enjoyed this tank. It has the best running gear of all the tanks I have made recently, due to the fixed stub axles for track drive and idler sockets - they don't bend or flex when track applied. Loads of extras for mounting on surface - oil drums, helmets, rucksacks, spare track and wheels. Good details on the tank crew.

Enjoying my journey into modeling
Bought a number of products to get me started on modeling, this is something I have wanted to do for a while and Hobby craft were great in there product range and the help the staff gave removing security tags so I could open the box to let me see inside and being patient while I pondered and worked out what it was I was going to do.
The model itself is great, enough to keep the interest and not to overwhelm and the adhesives seem to have come a long way from my childhood days when it got everywhere.
Still a way to go before it is done but happy so far :-)

Building a Tamiya 1/35 M4 Sherman Tank
I found this Tamiya 1/35 tank kit enjoyable to build. The parts of the kit were well moulded with almost negligible plastic scurf along the edges of the parts and all parts fitted well together.

its a great kit of a Sherman tank, it comes with 5 crew figures and 2 sets of road wheel options, it also includes extra armour plate to provide protection for the model that you build, it comes with a decal option for 3 tanks, it has 2 different engine hatch options that give the modeler the choice of which engine powered the tank in action or being worked on in the field.

Excellent Tamiya kit as always!
Great quality Tamiya kit, with many customization options and versatility in the build. An absolute steal for the price considering the amount of value inside the box. The pieces all fit together very well and have great detail for an out of the box build.

Detail is incredible
As usual, Tamiya kits are the most amazingly detailed kits I've ever purchased.
The moulding is second to none, and this particular tank kit gives options for different variants, instructions are clear and easy to follow. A great weekends hobbying.
