This clay is excellent for my daughters projects.
This clay is easy to manipulate which makes it easy for smaller hands to create their masterpieces.
It comes in a foil package to keep it fresh, easy to slice what you need off them store the rest in your craft area.
It dries very well and has a lovely finish. My daughter and I paint the items she's made with normal poster paints, it absorbs well, then coat with a pva mixture to gloss it over.
The end products are shelf worthy. We enjoy using this clay and are eager to try the terracotta one soon.

Nice to work with.
The clay was a good colour for our purposes. We found it easy to use. And enjoyed making our shapes. We felt the clay would have many more used. Than just for the small jewellery items we had made. And my grandaughter has already had some other ideas of things she would like to make. Despite my worries it was easy to clean up. We had lots of fun being able to make the items we wanted. It does try very well. And today, (3 days) after making her jewellery I smoothed the shape just using sandpaper. And my grandaughter was able to complete her project by using acrylic paint. She is very pleased with her finished project.

Not great for a beginner
I've never used air dry clay before but wanted to make some Christmas ornaments i bought this one in white and another brand in terracotta. Took the white out of the pack it was very wet and stuck to everything i had to YouTube how to solve this problem. Once I dried to out a bit it was okay to use. Still waiting for my ornaments to dry as its only been 24hrs. Fingers crossed it doesn't crack. I didn't have the same problem with the terracotta one. Maybe not ideal if your trying out a new hobby to see if you like it as the problem i had would have put me off doing that craft again. Ok if you've used air clay before and know how to problem solve.

Hobby Craft Air drying Clay
The clay offers an almost putty feel and is pliable and rich, great for sculpting. Like most Air drying clays, you have to work quickly, due to fast dry and although dries pretty quickly, some cracking will appear due to shrinkage in the drying process. I wanted to see if the clay was suitable for larger scale pieces. I built up in layers, on top of an armature, leaving each layer until almost dry. I repaired any cracks and added detail. When dry, I used acrylic paints and PVA Glue to strengthen it. It did work, but had to be reinforced. I would say, small to medium simlpvm sculptures are best, but overall, a nice product, very cost effect and sturdy for small scale work ..

Perfect crafting clay
This air dry clay is perfect for home projects. We are making woodland animals for our Christmas centrepiece. The clay is very mailable and once dry we painted our creatures with acrylic paint. I found by double wrapping the clay in cling film, a ziplock bag (ensuring there is no air in the bag), and then placing in a plastic box in a cool dark place the clay was usable time and again.

pleasantly surprised by experimental purchase
Experimental purchase. I've used the polymer clays for many years which require baking, wanted to see how air dried clay compared. was pleasantly surprised, used poster paint powders to colour some as opposed to painting the finished item, worked much the same as coloring fondant icing. items dried really well but I think that depends on the temperature of the room they are drying in, had to move them from cooler room to slightly warmer to speed up the process. Great option if you have time to wait for drying.

I was thinking of trying this out on my new mini pottery wheel, has anyone used it for this??
I think that air clay is too dry to spin on a wheel. It needs to be shaped carefully so it holds together without cracking. You can add a little moisture to join pieces but not so it gets too sticky.

Can you use clay on a baby hand a feet
It isn't toxic, but if this is a very young baby, it may be best to use clingfilm as a barrier.
