Very hit and miss quality
Ordered two of these frames and one was perfectly ok the other had several dent marks on it, to be fair after contacting hobbycraft they did send me out another one which was much better but still had a few chips in the wood.If you can and they have them in your local store (i didn't) i suggest looking through them to find the ones without any damage.This seems to be more of a problem with the white ones than the black or plain wood ones.Certainly not worth the full price.It may have something to do with how they're stored. I dont know. Ive since been back to my local store and purchased more...after looking through to find the best ones

Not quite the bargain
A shame because I thought that I was getting quite a bargain with these frames at half price, however when I came to use any of them I found there were various defects, knocks and other blemishes - albeit small,(some in the manufacture) that were not noticed at the point of purchase which meant they could not be used as they were to create products for selling (one being a requested wedding gift). This resulted in wasted time and petrol for a 15 mile round trip just to return them and try to select suitable replacements which was difficult to do as they were all the same to varying degrees - such a shame. Just be sure to inspect them closely.

Poor quality.
Ordered 2 of these box frames. Sturdy enough but ended up painting the inside frame myself as it had only been half painted with a lot of drip marks. Wouldn't recommend these at this price!

Crafting staple
Really good for value, the frame is sturdy, looks more expensive then what it is and is perfect for crafting....I’ve made a personalised frame out of it and found that the depth was perfect as I was able to add sequins floating inside. The only downfall is the frame is not made to sit up, it can only be hanged and I didn’t realise this when buying in store, the outer frame sticks out from the deep box so if you try to have it standing on a mantle piece it will fall (so if buying instore test before you buy) other then this I have no other downfalls and this it’s a crafting essential at a reasonable price.

The product was not as advertised.
I had to return the frame as it was not as advertised!
I bought the frame to house my print which is 20cm X 20 cm.
The frame states that the aperture is that very same size, so, should have been perfect.
However, on unwrapping the frame and putting in my print....this was not the case.
The print was moving around in the frame!
When I measured the actual aperture, I found it was just over 21cm X 21 cm, therefore no good for my print!
I had actually bought a 15cm X 15cm frame on another occasion and the aperture was actually 16.5cm X 16.5cm and had to make my picture fit!!....so, I should have remembered that the sizes were not accurate!
Unfortunately I did not, so, had to return the frame on this occasion.

Bit disappointing
I bought a lot of these to frame my canvases, and although the overall effect is nice, the quality isn’t great. If you’re looking for shabby chick and don’t mind inconsistent paint/chunks missing/grey patches then they’re great, but if you’re looking for a quality finish then I would recommend hand picking in store.

Disappointing
Having bought a wooden version of this frame previously and painting it white as this one wasn't in stock. I was delighted to find this back in stock a few days later. It arrived well packaged and undamaged, however on removing the clear film, there were very noticeable black scuff marks all around the frame. These wouldn't wipe off and in the end I had to paint over them. Delivery also took nearly a week which in my opinion is too long when you're paying £3.99 p&p.

Badly finished
The frame insert was badly finished and had to be severely rubbed down with sandpaper as it kept flaking and leaving bits behind which could be seen on the glass, would think twice before purchasing again.
