Disappointing
I am a professional artist. I buy other frames from Hobbycraft, but these I'm afraid fall short for the following reasons.
1. They are twice the price of competitor frames in
this size. As they are advertised as wood without further clarification, I thought this.must be the reason, as others are MDF. However they are MDF, nothing wrong with MDF at the right price, but...
2. The frames are advertised as both free standing and wall hang. However the stand is not recessed so if wall hung the stand shows outside the frame and prevents the frame from hanging flat to the wall. The hanger is also not fit for purpose, and breaks off very easily.
It's such a shame as superficially they look good, and as I said I buy Hobbycraft frames in larger sizes.
Please Hobbycraft do some quality control, or drop the.price.
