Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick drying artistic glazing techniques This is a product I have always loved using. Many years ago I worked as a professional decorative and mural artist, and some of my earliest commissions involved creating realistic wood graining, simulating marbles and painting skies. One way to achieve the illusion of depth is via a method called glazing, which makes your colours translucent, Liquin supports this technique and at the same time it dries the oil paint quicker to enable further applications the next day. I highly recommended it. Liquin can leave a shine but this can be addressed by adding a little turpentine or applying a matt varnish over your finished work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for beginners like myself Never used oil paint before, but chose this as my medium as it speeds up drying time. It took a while to understand how much medium:paint would dry in what time, but once figuring it out it is perfect for thinning paint. The only downside is that because it is the consistency of hand gel (which I like as you can keep it directly on palette and not separate container), it is slightly hard to pour out. I find more comes out than I want and it is hard to control the amount. I will fix this by putting it into an empty squeeze tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This product enhances theuse of oil paint. It not only thins the consistency for a flowing use of the paint, but gives it a silkier finish. In doing this it does not lose the vibrancy of the paint. I would thoroughly recommend Liquetin as a medium for Oil paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value I have recently started painting in oils, courtesy of an Adult Learning class.I am really enjoying it and have made my way through a 75ml Liquin. I was therefore delighted to purchase a 250ml bottle for £11.50,less than twice the price of the 75ml

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great value. I use Liquin as I am oil painting in order to keep the painting vibrant because Liquin restores the viscosity of the painted surface if it dries dull. Liquin is a versatile product and is competitively priced at Hobbycraft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The upgrade Swap your linseed oil for this! It's amazing. The brush stokes are not as noticeable it's silky and just makes the art work look so much more better quality Only problem is, is that it drys quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous medium It's a great medium to create translucency in oil paints and a delicious slickness that pulls the paint smoothly across the page. A definite necessary extra for your painting collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a fantastic medium This is a medium I've used for many years. It allows me to dilute and lay down transparent colours, while speeding up drying time and when necessary, sealing the surface of my support.
