This colour!
I love this colour on anything really so I jumped at the prospect of having this wool and I love it really I do, but the same thing has happened to me with buying this wool as it did when I bought a similar colour from the WI but a 100g ball, there are parts of the wool that seem to have not been spun together and have came apart and have been sound into a ball but are separate threads of yarn. I still love this brand I don't for a second think this happens to ALL the balls from WI and it won't stop me buying this yarn it is still lovely and I still would highly recommend to everyone I know to buy this brand, it's just a shame that every time I seem to buy this type of colour ive had this issue.

Beautifully soft
Lovely Aran to knit with. Feels a true thickness - I find some makes come up on the thin side - and knits up to a lovely cosy garment. Have bought 5 colours in this WI make and although I have only knitted with two so far they have both been a pleasure to knit with because of the feel of the yarn. Both garments have washed well and retained their shape and soft warm feel. I’m very happy to recommend this yarn and will probably be buying more when this stash has run out.

Review of Aran wool
I was very pleased with this wool. I have finished my garment and was very happy with the end result. The only comment I have is that I ordered three balls of wool, which I was sharing with a friend, because we needed more than one ball and when the wool arrived all the ball bands had different numbers on them. Although the difference was negligible, I would have expected to get three identical balls, so next time I will go in store and choose in person. (I’m sure this could have been rectified if I had returned to the shop but my friend wanted to start the project before Christmas.)

This wool has a silky finish, and looks great. I used the grey colour, but I am sure this colour would be the same.
Fabulous wool to knit with, no joins in the wool which is amazing considering that this is a 400g ball. Advisable to wind off several individual balls as when the ball band comes off the wool gets tangled up very easily

Nice, soft, easy to work with yarn.
I love the Women’s Institute Aran, as it’s so soft and snuggly, nice to work with etc. Couple of issues with it in that plenty of the skeins have been joined together crudely with knots and there is no way you can centre pull as you just end up in tangles after the first few stitches. However, they have some nice colours that wash well and are easy to work with (crochet).

Knits up really nicely pleased with the wool.
As usual when purchasing (wool especially) the colour is always a wee bit different in natural light and in this case in my opinion I would say that the colour is more maroon than plum. Very pleased with the purchase.

This product has great colour but a little problem
I like this brand of yarn, the range of colours is amazing but it usually get tangled. I think it will be better if the yarn were sold in smaller skeins

Lovely and soft
Very soft for an Aran yarn. The Aran pattern knitted up very well but was far too stretchy in simple st st. The 400g ball was great for fewer knots but the ball unravelled into a tangle.
