Keeps my desk less cluttered
I use a variety of pens and pencils as an artist and this storage box helps me keep them easy to find and always to hand. This box also holds rulers and scissors and helps keep my desk less cluttered.

this may be a silly question, how does the drawer open, do i need to attach my own handle?
Yes attach your own handle. This can be a simple thin ribbon glued inside or a small screw or glue on handle.

How deep are the wells at the back?
the wells, have a decent depth, identical and the depth of the shelf, it’s really a box top, for my use they hold a vallejo paint bottle nicely, a good prop for painting brushes, with hand sized lengths. I fashioned a piece of white board, as a lid, This then contains the well contents. and allows another shelf which is held in place by magnets.
