Do not buy this from Hobbycraft
Great, but DO NOT BUY FROM HOBBYCRAFT. Myself and my teenage son were embarrassed at t the tills when they refused to sell me (a grey haired mum) this ‘for age 8 and up) product when I told them it was for my 16 year old son. Not just one but two members of staff stuck to this nonsensical line. Unclear whether they were really that stupid, or were deliberately having fun mocking a boy similar to their own ages. Either way, that’s how I spent yesterday. Being humiliated by hobbycraft for trying to to buy a product for kids for a kid. For context, he has bought airfix from Lidl himself, and I’ve bought h8m Airfix in modelling shops. It’s not the law over glue sales. It’s them.

Poor substitute for the previous one...!
Lacks some important details that were in the previous version. Pitot tube, cockpit details, landing light, and most importantly the underside decals that outline the Red Arrow... Also the paints are a joke, the red is too pink, and they all try to reject the plastic when applied and therefore require a primer which is not mentioned or supplied. If someone started with this kit they could be put off this lifetime hobby... for life. Go Figure!

Red Arrow model kit
This is the first time I’m using a model kit was easy and straightforward. All the bits and pieces were easy to find instructions were great. Can’t ask for any more than that if you’re looking to get into modelling and air spraying in the model at the end this is the kit to get as a beginner.
