Rated 5 out of 5 by olivebean123 from Little goes a long way, perfect for the job We bought four of these for a project (realising last minute we hadn't got any!) for collection in store. We had 102 sign stencils to get through and we ended up cracking into the last can but really didn't use much of it. They're small bottles and seem expensive, but you use very little and it lasted. Easy to move stencils and reposition to get exact location right, came off after painting without any reside left. Perfect. Would buy again! (The most difficult part was the card stencils disintegrating after being painted over so many times, we'd cut them from thin plastic sheet next time and use spray paint!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by evesbiz from Using on scroll saw patterns I use this for applying scroll saw patterns to wood. It sticks to most wood but not very good on MDF. Wish it was sold in a bigger can but the cost might be quite prohibitive.

is this suitable for sticking onto lampshades

Asked by: rayb
Yes, Cadence Stencil Spray is suitable for temporarily holding stencils in place when painting or decorating a fabric or paper lampshade

Says it's 'water based' and 'easy cleaning' - however, it doesn't seem to be water soluble so it still needs to be wiped off with a solvent like all mounting spray. Is there some way of cleaning the glue off the stencil which doesn't require solvent?

Asked by: Fergu5
Unfortunately not, you would need a solvent to remove the glue completely.
