Level

Time

Budget

Creating a bespoke sign for a celebration is simple when you have a Cricut machine to hand.

Removable vinyl has been used to create this design, which makes it easy to reuse the blackboard for future events. Use the project link below to open the design in the Cricut Design Space app, then all you need to press is ‘Make It’.

This project is ideal for crafters who are new to the world of digital cutting and Cricut, and it can be recreated in just a few hours!

Project and instructions by Rosie Marshall.

Please note: This project contains paid-for content from Cricut's Design Space app. This project has been created on the Cricut Maker, but any of the Cricut Explore machines can be used to recreate this project.

Step 2

Ensure the measurements of the project fit within the canvas size that you are using - for this project we have used the blackboard stand to create the canvas.

Make any changes to the colours or images you wish to remove/add.

Once happy with the design, click 'Make it' to be taken through to the mat preview screen.

Step 3

Follow the on-screen instructions to cut out each of the design elements.

Once each of the vinyl sheets has been cut, weed away the excess vinyl to reveal the design.

Step 4
In between cutting the vinyl pieces – paint the frame of your blackboard.

Step 5
Start to add the vinyl to your blackboard. Slightly position the white lettering off from the middle of the board, to create an offset when the yellow lettering goes on top.
Step 6
Finally add the arrow and décor party dots around the main lettering.
