How to make

Mussel - Step 1
Begin by sketching out your design.

Mussel - Step 2
Start to add light colours to the shell, the quicker you add colour, the easier the blending will be if this is your desired effect.

Mussel - Step 3
Add in your shadows with a darker colour, remember you want to capture the different sections of the mussel shell. Don’t worry if you’ve covered any highlights, you can add these back in after!

Mussel - Step 4

Continue these steps through the shell, building texture with the pens can also add to the finish of your creation.

Add in final highlights from the tip to the end of the shell in a curve motion.

Starfish - Step 1
Begin by sketching out your design. Then, use a white pen to draw on one arm of the starfish

Starfish - Step 2
Start adding darker colours, then blend out with a white pen, going down the arm of the starfish to the centre.
Starfish - Step 3
Repeat this process again on each of the starfish arms, add darker colours to the centre of the starfish for shading, then add highlights to the centre.
Starfish - Step 4
Wait until dry, then with a fine liner start to add texture and details on the arms, then work your way down into the centre of the starfish.
Scallop - Step 1

Use the white pen to blend out the peach marks while still wet, in an up-down motion.

Add any highlights that are needed.

Scallop - Step 3
Wait until your design is dry, then add fine liner details, using more strokes when needing to add depth and texture.

Turritella - Step 3
Blend out the shell with the white pen, adding yellow and orange highlights. Use a darker pink shade for the inner of the shell.
Turritella - Step 4
Start adding detail with a fine liner, follow the curved shape of the shell and add definition to the sections of the shell.
