* Gold Glitter Card
* Assorted Coulred Card
* Black Self Adhesive Felt Sheet
* Googly Eyes
* Star Sequins
* White Feathers
* Adhesive Gems

Step 1

Using a pencil and ruler, measure 4cm down from the top of the cardboard tube and make a mark.

Then measure 7cm up from the bottom and make another mark.

Draw a rough line around the tube at each mark to divide it into three sections: the hat, face and body.

Repeat for the remaining tubes.

Step 3

Cut the gold glitter card into several strips measuring approximately 0.5cm, 1cm and 1.5cm wide.

For the crown, cut a strip 3cm wide and trim one long edge into a zigzag pattern.

Step 4

Glue the glitter crown and decorative strips onto each Nutcracker. Add a black felt belt to one, then decorate the others with gold adhesive gems for buttons and extra detail.

Step 6

Stick a pair of googly eyes onto each face. Fold a small triangle of card to create a nose and glue it into place. Cut a moustache from the black self-adhesive felt using the template and stick it beneath the nose. Add some rosy cheeks with a red pencil.

Step 7

Cut a strip of coloured card measuring approximately 6cm wide.

Wrap it tightly around a pencil to form a tube, glue the end to secure it, and allow it to dry.

Carefully slide it off the pencil once set.

Make a pair of arms for each nutcracker using co-ordinating coloured card.

Step 8

Wrap a 1cm wide strip of gold glitter card around one end of each arm to create a cuff and glue it in place.

For the opposite end, cut small snips along one edge of a 1.5cm-wide glitter card strip to create a fringed effect, then wrap and glue it around the arm.

Leave to dry.

Once dry, attach the completed arms to either side of the Nutcracker bodies with PVA glue.

Leave to dry.
