How to Make Paper Plate Diwali Lamps
This simple craft allows kids to get creative and hands-on in your Diwali preparations.
You can use the paper lamps to decorate windowsills, create bunting by making several paper lights and tying them together with string, or why not use the lamps as a Diwali card?

How To Make
Decorate your plate by painting it or colouring it in with crayons. If you are painting, allow the paint to dry before you start to decorate.
Draw flame shapes in different sizes onto the different colours of card, using the images as a guide.
Finish by sticking on any glitter and other embellishments.
If you want to make a garland, cut a length of ribbon or string and feed it under the fold in your paper lanterns. Glue the two sides of the plate together to secure them onto the string.
