Hello! I’m Jay (he/they) from Hobbycraft Canterbury! Most people know me under my pseudonym KasteloSol where I share a lot of digital illustrations and artworks, but I am a true lover of all things crafty, whether it’s papercutting, watercolours, or anything else I can get my hands on! I got into crafting as a teenager and taught everything to myself and as such I have a strong preference to being playful with my art and experimenting around with lots of different techniques and mediums, or just adding a fun little twist to a project. My goal with art primarily is to show people that it is never too late to start, and to make it as accessible as possible!

Papercraft Artwork

This piece of artwork was made using only cardstock, fineliners and a white gel pen! Each piece of card was cut entirely by hand and glued together to make this bold piece.

Space Travel Illustration

A fun piece I did, blending two of my interests together – animals and sci-fi!

Watercolour Stickers

These penguin stickers were done using Cotman watercolours and a black fineliner. I find these great to add a little personalisation to something (as long as it’s far away from water!)
