In this project, we've used a cute cupcake design from the Siser USB clipart sets. However, you could also use other images to create something more personalised.

You Will Need

* Siser Juliet Digital Cutting Machine

* Siser Cutting Mat

* Leonardo Design Studio Installed

* A USB Stick with Images Downloaded

* White Cards & Envelopes

* Rainbow Watercolour Paper

* Adhesive Foam Pads

Step 1

To begin, open up Leonardo Design Studio and select 'design'.

Step 2

To add the required design from the USB stick to your mat, select “File” and then “Import File”. Then, locate the images you want to use for this project.

Step 3

Select which option you require. For this project we chose Editable Artwork as this option allows you to tweak the design as you wish.

Step 4

Resize your image and then add an offset layer. To do this, select the star icon.

Step 5

Set your size and type, and when you are happy select “Apply”.

Step 6

If you want to change any of the individual layers you will need to ungroup your design. To do this proceed to right click your mouse on the image to bring up the menu and then select “Ungroup”.

Step 7

To remove part of each layer, you will need break the path. Once this is done you will be able to remove or change components as necessary.

Top Tip: Don’t forget to highlight the parts and then combine the path again afterwards.

Step 8

To add your text click the “T” button, type your text and select your font.

Step 9

After you have resized your text to the required size you might want to add an offset. Click the star icon and then select your size and type as you did for the cupcake image.

Then, click “Apply”.

Step 10

Once you are happy with your design select “Send Design”. Check your settings and the click “Send”

Step 11

Apply your card stock to your mat.

Step 12

Load your mat into your Juliet machine, and remember that the machine will start cutting from where you set the blade. Make sure the blade is situated at the bottom left hand corner of your mat.

Step 13

Now it's time to select your cut settings. You can utilise your own cut settings, but we found that the "Glitter HTV" setting worked well in cutting the watercolour paper pad we used.

Step 14

When everything is ready click “Send to Cutter”.

Work your way through cutting each section and then assemble your card.

Step 15

Finish assembling your card and there you have it, a touching gift for your loved one!
